This insurance scheme is implemented to cover cattle, goats and sheep in the field with the aim of reducing the risk and ensuring the safety of large scale as well as small scale livestock producers. Where under the basic insurance, compensation is paid for the death of an animal due to an accident, illness and total disability, and for the death of an animal with higher risks (such as fire, lightning or earthquakes, use for ploughing, transportation, etc.) and to get additional coverage by paying an additional amount.
