The Agricultural and Agrarian Insurance Board has reported that nearly two lakh acres of cultivated land has been damaged due to the bad weather in November 2024. About 100,000 farmers have reported crop damage due to the bad weather. An assessment of the damage caused to the cultivated fields in Vavuniya district was carried out over the past few days.
